I’m always happy to help.
Yes, it can be nice to have another person with you so you can chat about anything that was said after the appointment. The treatment room has extra seats so other people can sit comfortably during your appointment.
I will need to see the area that you are having issues with, so please wear suitable clothes or shorts. It is helpful if you are able to wear clothes that are easy to move around in,
Your initial appointment is 45 minutes which includes a thorough assessment, treatment, and advice.
Follow up appointments are 30 minutes and include reassessment, full treatment, and advice for managing your condition at home.
During your initial consultation we will discuss your medical history and assess your condition using touch, movement, and orthopaedic tests as required. I aim to provide treatment during the initial consultation, however in some instances this may not be possible. I will always provide relevant information and advice to help you manage in your daily tasks.
At each follow-up appointment we will discuss any changes, I will reassess your condition, then move on to treatment as quickly as possible.
Unfortunately there is no single answer for this. Each person and their condition is different, it is not possible to say how an individual will respond to treatment or the advice that has been provided. Therefore, I will always take it appointment by appointment, reassessing and advising accordingly rather than suggesting any set number of sessions.
If you have a complex medical history, take a number of medications, or have received imaging such as x-ray or mri, please do bring any relevant information along with you to save time during the consultation process.
During your initial consultation we will discuss your health history. We will discuss what your expectations are from treatment and what is important to you, we will also discuss what your goals are in relation to your health and wellbeing.
You will have the opportunity to ask any questions about your preferences, concerns or queries about your treatment with me.
Questions are always welcome, it is important to me that you feel able to ask questions whenever you want to. After your appointment you are welcome to contact me by message, email, or telephone at any point. I aim to respond to messages by the end of the working day.
You are very welcome to bring your children along. There is plenty of space and seats for them in the treatment room.
I recommend bringing something that can keep them entertained while you are having treatment. If you have a young child or baby that is still feeding and needs to be with you I will still be able to provide treatment and am happy to work around their needs.
